SILENT BODIES, LOUD GAZES

is a printmaking project that explores themes of visibility, objectification, and power dynamics in visual culture. Through bold compositions and a punk-inspired aesthetic, the work interrogates how female bodies are rendered silent while remaining hyper-visible under the scrutinizing gaze of society. Drawing from influences such as Barbara Kruger, Guerrilla Girls, and Brian Ewing, the project utilizes striking text, layered imagery, and high-contrast prints to challenge the passive consumption of the female form. By reclaiming the visual language of activism and subversive media, Silent Bodies, Loud Gazes demands a confrontation between viewer and subject, pushing for awareness and agency in the act of looking.
